I joined the company as a Senior Product Designer so I could be hands-on to learn about the product and understand where the biggest UX opportunities were. When the opportunity to grow the design team came, I stepped up as a Product Design Manager for the seller experience. In July 2022, the product team had a re-org and aligned itself around the biggest product opportunities. My strength is in creating a holistic design vision, so I was asked to manage the squads focussed on growth and expansion.
Product Design Manager, Growth Pillars (Since July 2022)
- Oversees product design for Reverb’s growth pillars: Personalization, Trust, and Affordability
- Responsible for product design strategy for all pillar work
- Focussed on the holistic experience to identify when initiatives from the 3 pillars have overlap
- Shapes the long-term design vision for the product, strategizes how we can incrementally get there
- Weekly 1:1s, performance management, mentorship, and regular design critiques
- Oversees end-to-end design— research, ideation, UX documentation, prototypes, and final UI
- Leads design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and planning workshops
- Close collaboration with product and engineering leadership to shape the roadmap
- Uses qualitative and quantitative data to inform design vision and strategy
- Collaborates with design leadership team to create the design charter, shape Reverb design culture, and discuss tooling
- Partners with Design Systems team to advocate for new components or updated styles based on design needs
Product Design Manager, Seller Experience (Jan 2022—July 2022)
- Hired, onboarded, and managed seller designers: weekly 1:1s, career growth coaching, performance management, and design critiques
- Design strategy and direction on a variety of projects: Reverb Price Guide, Increasing selling visibility, new shipping programs, seller navigation, new trade-in program, and the new listing experience

- Responsible for user research, ideation, service blueprints, user flow documents, UX wireframes, prototypes, user testing, and final UI
- End-to-end design on a variety of projects: new shipping programs, sell form/listing experience, offering packaging/boxes to sellers, and took a holistic look at the seller experience
The Mom Project
Aug 2019—May 2021
I joined The Mom Project as their first in-house product designer after their series A funding. My product design strategy helped the company earn $25 million in investments during their series B funding and grow 18X in revenue. We quickly saw the need for more designers, so I stepped up to hire and grow the design team.
Senior Manager of Product Design (Nov 2019—May 2021)
- Hired and built out a design team and created a design culture within the org
- Weekly 1:1s, weekly design crit, and daily stand-ups
- Responsible for product design strategy
- Oversaw end-to-end design— ideation, flowcharts, UX wireframes, prototypes, and final UI design
- Responsible for creating, managing, and evolving the design system

- Conducted user testing and research. Analyzed the findings and adjusted design direction to accommodate feedback

Product Design Lead (Aug 2019—Nov 2019)
- Created an atomic design system from scratch to be used on the product
- Responsible for user research, ideation, flowcharts, UX wireframes, prototypes, and the final UI design
- End-to-end design on a variety of projects: job listing management for employers, job posting experience, new community product for talent, and a new “talent cloud” product for employers to quickly hire contractors
Walgreens
Senior UI Designer, Pharmacy (Jan 2018—Aug 2019)
- Responsible for the UI for digital pharmacy checkout, B2B pharmacist dashboards, pharmacy checkout emails, and mobile experiences for patients
- Established the design direction and design language for digital pharmacy checkout
- Rebranded all of digital pharmacy checkout with a new atomic design system
- Collaborated closely with a PM, UX designer, UX research, engineering, and a copywriter in an agile environment
- Collaborated with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure design direction met requirements
- Lead the end-to-end design of a mobile product and service that helps patients save on medication costs
- Participated in user testing and research. Analyzed the feedback and insights and modified design direction to better fit users’ needs
Weigel Broadcasting
Design Manager, Web & Mobile (Jan 2016—Jan 2018)
- Hired and managed 2 designers that were responsible for digital marketing designs, app design, and web design
- Provided creative direction and design strategy for all Weigel-owned websites and mobile apps
- Translated the branding for multiple TV stations into accessible design systems to be used on their digital products
- Close collaboration with leadership, engineers, and a front-end developer
Senior Web Designer (June 2015—Jan 2016)
- Designed the websites for MeTV, Heroes & Icons, Movies!, WCIU, CW25, MeTV fm, and Weigel’s corporate site
- Creative direction and design for WCIU and MeTV digital marketing campaigns
- Designed and helped launch the first MeTV mobile app
- Designed email newsletter templates for MeTV, H&I, and WCIU
Walgreens
Marketing Designer (Nov 2014—Apr 2015)
- Responsible for designing email newsletters, digital ads, social media, printed mailers, and marketing landing pages for Drugstore.com and Beauty.com (eCommerce sites that were owned by Walgreens.)
- Worked closely with a copywriter on campaign strategy
- Created the illustrations for multiple marketing campaigns when I felt it worked with the design direction
- Creative directed photoshoots for campaign photography and product photos
- Responsible for the design direction of multiple co-branded and sponsored campaigns
Scholastic
Book Designer (Sep 2012—July 2014)
- Conceptualized and designed the covers and interiors of young adult and middle grade novels
- Read the manuscripts to identify themes and significant imagery to establish the concepts and design direction for the cover art
- Collaborated closely with editors to understand the themes of the novels and confirm my design direction was aligned with their needs
- Would either illustrate the covers independently, manipulate stock imagery, hire and creative direct an illustrator, or creative direct a photoshoot depending on the cover concept
- Managed and created the design budget for each novel I was responsible for
- Created custom typography for the covers
- Created the final designs of the book jackets and prepared the files for printing
- Responsible for the interior layout design direction of chapter books, novels, and various graphic novels. Depending on my workload, I would either design it myself or hire design contractors and provide them with design direction on the interior layout design.
Fast Company
Digital Designer (Feb 2012—Sep 2012)
- Responsible for creating digital ads, marketing landing pages, digital campaigns, social media designs, and email newsletters
- Established the brand guidelines for all Fast Company brands to be used by the entire web department
- Designed website and mobile app updates when there was a need for an additional page or section
